Rocky Mount hardscape overview
Why should slope work begin with the usable destination?
A retaining wall is rarely the final experience a homeowner wants. It may create a level patio, improve a route, protect an area, or make part of the yard more useful. Naming that destination helps a provider understand the correct relationships among wall geometry, access, steps, surface area, drainage, and future features.
Rocky Mount site planning
What must the ground support, and where should useful space begin?
Show the entire run of grade, not only a proposed wall face. Include the destination above or below and the route materials would take to reach it.
01
Capture full slope context
Photograph from the top, bottom, side, and a distant point so the relationship to the surrounding property is visible.
02
Share water observations
Describe runoff, wet areas, erosion, or discharge you have noticed while leaving diagnosis and design to qualified parties.
03
Define the level destination
Explain whether the grade work should support a patio, landing, route, lawn area, planting, fire feature, or another use.
